looking at it again, i don't think these pictures just have different contrast, it seeems more that the first one is the red channel and the second is the blue channel (or maybe green, but i don't really think that) of the same picture.
look at the lips.. that isn't just contrast
that gives me interesting possililities, think of colorful glasses or monochromatic illuminated rooms :D
